This film represents an authentic history of an African society before the advent of the Whiteman and what happened to the society when the first Whiteman ventured into the hinterland - area East of the Niger Delta. This area was the Musanga kingdom. There was resistance and confrontation by the people against what was seen as the Whiteman's exploitative designs. The tyrannical King Mudame Konolinga, the Egbenamasiogiri X of Musanga was for a complete resistance and annihilation of the white 'pests'. - This movie contains some nudity. This is a fantastic and well directed ancient-style traditional movie... If you've seen 'Oduduwa' and movies like 'Sango' this is definetly a must see... Clarion Chukwura-Abiola is the Chief Priestess of the land. Pete Edochie is the Igwe (King)... he was blessed with only one son 'Ikemefuna' who was an 'Ogbanje'. Ikemefuna made a promise to his spiritual friends to fall sick all the time and die when he is ripe in age... all this he did... But when the time came for him to die and go back... Ikemefuna refused... he loved his mother. But his spiritual friends were too strong for him... Ikemefuna was taken. The King is devastated and the Chief Priestess is called to unravel the mystery behind Ikemefuna's death. Description: Ugomma is in love with Dinta but is forbidden by tradition to marry before the elder sister Olamma unless as a second wife. However, Ugomma does not want to share her love with anybody. Dinta persists in taking Ugomma in marriage against the sacred tradition and gets Olamma in disguise for Ugomma. A rift develops and Olamma reaps insanity for her desire for extra marital affairs. Ugomma on the other hand gets an illegitimate pregnancy for Dinta. The consequence is inter-village war between Ubahadurueze and Umueze.
